So my chronic procrastination struck me again today, and I didn't even start writing until ten PM. Not a good thing.
Looking at the list of novels I want to complete, I chose to start on one called "The Attic". In one sentence, it's about this family who discovers certain magical objects in their attic that transport them to the world of fairy tales, upon which they have to find each other and find their way back home.
I can already see that the quality of writing that I wrote today is not the best, so it will take a lot of editing to fix it up. It's mostly because of a lack of motivation on my part, so I'm forcing myself to write it. Again, not a good thing.
And, although my word goal for the day was 2740, I only managed to write 1989 words. I'll have to write some extra tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be more motivated in the morning.
One Million Words
A goal to write one million words in a single year may seem like a massive task. Here is one writer's attempt to do just that.

Before I Begin
I like to make goals. Unfortunately, I'm not as good at keeping goals as I am at making them. However, for a few years now, I've had this idea that I want to write one million words all in one year. I recently got myself all pumped up to do it, but decided that I didn't want to wait until 2016 to start it, so from September to September, I'm going to write one million words.
That's about three thousand words per day, which I can write in about an hour if I put effort into it.
Now is where this blog comes in. I know very well that I need something to keep me motivated and looking toward the goal. A blog, updated hopefully daily, is just the thing to do so.
While I write these one million words, I plan to finish twenty of my unfinished works, although I have plenty more.
Every day, I'll check in, tell you what I worked on that day, if I made my goal, and so on. I may even give samples of the writing.
Wish me luck!
